Google Product Development Webinars

Webinar on laptop illustration

In mid 2020 and early 2021, Google for Education launched a litany of product updates to meet the ever evolving needs of the virtual and blended classrooms. As with any major product roll outs, communication was vital for users to feel comfortable and excited about changes made to their favorite classroom tools.

Enter friEdTech. Amy Mayer, Brooke Lowery and I first appeared in a web series where they outlined all the newest features of Google Workspace for Education’s Teaching & Learning tools such as Google Meet and Google Classroom, bringing the updates front and center, but also showcasing applications for their use in the K-12 classrooms. Garnering thousands of views, these live events were a hit! They included deeper dives and discussions about updated features and the friEd team Learning Guides joined in to add their expertise on the topics! (Check out the recordings here)

Fast forward to August 2021. Google Workspace for Education has seen some super meaningful updates brought about by educators across the world, and they’ve asked the friEd team to assist in getting the word out.

We’ll be covering even more security and usability updates to Google Meet and Google Classroom AND we’re super excited to showcase the “smart” updates to Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets. You won’t want to miss these learning opportunities.

While dates and times haven’t been released yet, registration is open now. Sign up today and receive email updates about when these live learning events are happening!
